Andrew Douglas
Andrew has worked full time in law since 1990 before completing his law degree at the University of Queensland and being admitted as a Queensland Solicitor in 1992.
He set up his Morayfield office from the existing premises in 1995 and hooked it up with all modern technology available to his Breakfast Creek office which is now located at Hendra.
He has over 20 years experience in property, wills, estates and commercial matters such as leases, loans and business transfers and works with other specialist solicitors and sometimes barristers if he can’t avoid related disputes.
Sean Jones
Sean is a solicitor who started with us in 2013 with the unique ability to work full time and study full time at the Queensland University of Technology and still get honors.
Sean is the first point of contact for all wills, estates and commercial files in the office such as leases, loans, business transfers and related disputes and works with Sherril as a relief conveyancer.
He is also young enough to assist our external IT providers or Andrew with any computer and precedent management issues which becomes more and more important as law firms evolve in this digital age.
Angela Rushe
Angela has worked as a senior conveyancing clerk in the Brisbane area for decades now and commenced working at our firm full time in 2012.
You cannot get a more experienced conveyancing clerk in their prime and cannot survive in the legal industry for that period of time without being competent.
She is the first point of contact and works with Andrew for all sorts of property transactions including residential purchases or sales, subdivisions, off the plan and commercial conveyancing.
Despite all of that experience and unpredictably urgent workload, she is always pleasant to deal with according to our clients whether they’re a first home owner or a large property developer.
Sherril Baigrie
Sherril has also worked in the legal industry for decades including about 18 of the 20 year history of our firm as the bookkeeper, office manager and works with Sean as a relief conveyancer or paralegal.
She has been part of the furniture or at least the glue that has held the firm together all those years including teaching any new staff our procedures and assisting with the ebbs and flows and evolution of the office.
That continuity has been very important for the office, clients and staff alike as well as her ability to deal with any office crisis with a smile on her face.
Katherine Burke
Katherine is a 3rd year law student and is the latest addition to our team.
She does everything in the office from file work required by all fee earners to reception duties. We hope she will become our next home grown talent like Sean.
